RESEARCH

Research at QAIRU

The university conducts research in six areas of artificial intelligence. Students get access to the laboratories from their first year.

AREAS

Six research areas

The university has centers that conduct research in machine learning, generative artificial intelligence, computer vision, robotics, intelligent systems and applied AI.

  • Machine learning

  • Generative artificial intelligence

  • Computer vision

  • Robotics

  • Intelligent systems

  • Applied AI

Work in the laboratories lets students take part in research and create world-class innovations.

AI RESEARCH CENTER

Computing power for AI development

Modern AI models cannot be built without powerful computing infrastructure. QAIRU students and researchers get access to modern GPU resources for training models, running research and developing their own projects.

  • GPU resources for training models
  • Access to the laboratories from year one
  • Work alongside academic supervisors
  • Joint research with partners

LABORATORIES

Research laboratories

The laboratories run their own projects and take students into research groups.

  • A hall behind a glass partition: illuminated racks, a workstation with two monitors and a compute module

    AI Core Center

Machine Learning, NLP, Large Language Models (LLM), Computer Vision, and Multimodal AI.

  • A robotic arm and the workstations of the robotics laboratory

    Robotics and Intelligent Systems Lab

Autonomous Robotics, Intelligent Control Systems, AI-Driven Robotics, Human–Robot Interaction, and Smart Industrial Automation.

  • A workstation with three monitors: scans and a brain model on the screens, a tomograph and a microscope at the far end of the room

    Applied AI Center

Smart City & Urban AI, FinTech & GovTech AI, HealthTech AI, Industrial AI, and Agricultural AI.
